2011 Track & Field World Championships[Daegu, South Korea] 2013 Track & Field World Championships[Moscow, Russia] 2015 Track & Field World Championships[England, or Poland, or China] 2017 Track & Field World Championships ------------------------------------------------ The purpose of creating an ETG Annual Track Meet Schedule is to provide a set, stable, and predictable schedule that track & field fans and media can follow from one year to the next. It creates some degree of stability in what has been a relatively unstable sport. It helps to address the issue of stability in a sport where traditionally athletes have tended to sabotage their recognizability and "follow-ability" by wearing sunglasses, ever-changing uniforms and hair styles, and following ever-changing track meet schedules. The ETG Annual Track Meet Schedule is also intended to help promote the track meets on the schedule. More meets may be added to the schedule in the near future. Some club members [non-elite] will compete in races that are not listed on the annual schedule, as the club has athletes with a variety of goals and performance levels. All of the club's elite athletes over the next decade will compete almost exclusively in the meets listed on the annual schedule. |
